Great British Entrepreneur Awards, 19th November 2013

Posted on 26th November 13'

As previously expressed in an earlier blog post, I earned myself a nomination at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards in the category of Entrepreneurs Champion as they recognised that I am someone who encourages, nurtures and provides solutions to entrepreneurs and their businesses whilst demonstrating clear examples of assisting British entrepreneurs in their development. This was something I was and still am extremely proud of.

The actual awards ceremony took place on Tuesday 19th November 2013 at the swanky Grand Connaught Rooms in London and I brought with me one of my colleagues/team leaders Faith Tabvuma to attend the event as moral support.

It was a beautiful event that included a gala dinner with peers, judges and VIPs to celebrate the successes of Great British Entrepreneurs. We were also treated to entertainment, a drinks reception and of course, a lovely three-course menu with copious amounts of wine. I was also able to network with new and old faces, people who I had been talking to via my social networks, and people who I wanted to meet and hadn’t had a chance to. It was a thoroughly entertaining evening.

I had the chance to meet up with dynamic young entrepreneurial achiever Samuel Kasumu and his wife Barbara Kasumu who are part of youth employment charity Elevation Networks as well as other things (they are very busy hard-working people).

A great event all in all and although in the end, I didn’t win in my category. I was honoured and privileged to be recognised for my achievements and to be in the same category as influential entrepreneurs like James Caan and Samuel Kasumu.

Here are a few photos from the event…
